Abstract
The article reflects the extraordinary retrospective exhibition of one of the kinetic arts pioneers, the American settled after WWII in Paris, Frank J. Malina.
Being this display part of the 3rd annual festival ENTER focusing on the arts of new technologies the artistic development of this important person was presented in the very methodic and complex way. Malina managed to join original scientific erudition and experience in developing technological progression with artistic imagination.
Malina got from textural collages via the experiments with grids enlightened through by bulbs to technologically complicated reliefs where mechanical move of the perforated screens and light projection result into final optical performances. Malina´s involvement as the scientist, publisher and humanist has also been mentioned.
