The article provides an outline of the history and development of the evaluation of primary prevention interventions in the Czech Republic. It describes the process and evaluation studies that have taken place, as well as explaining the concept of evaluation and its application to school practice.
In response to the latest developments in the evaluation of primary prevention activities, the Evaluation Centre was established as part of the project referred to as VYNSPI. A website dedicated to prevention-related evaluation was created.
It contains articles, specific evaluation tools, examples of good practice, and useful links. Two practice- oriented courses were also held.
Their aims were to provide a brief theoretical account of the issue and practical training in the different types of evaluation.
