Abstract
A rare intoxication with cobalt was seen in orthopaedic department due to hip replacement with cobalt containing prosthesis. Cardiomyopathy, polyneuropathy, deafness and hypothyreosis developed and were treated with chelation antidote unithiol (DMPS).
