Abstract

Symptoms and clinical and laboratory findings during several years´ follow-up are described in patients intoxicated with lead or mercury. The lead shots, lead glaze and ointment with mercury amidochloride were the source of intoxication.

All patients have been treated due to severe symptoms with chelating antidotes, and the urinary output during the treatment was measured. Electrophysiological methods and Lanthony test D-15 have been used to evaluate the severity.

All the patients almost completely recovered.
