Abstract
Author in the short article gives his negative opinion to the propsal of Union of patiens to introduce the regular obligatory HIV testing for all health workers and supports the statement of president Czech Medical Chamber dr. Kubek.
This practice should not respect the rights of health workers as citizens, has almost no epidemiological significance and could led to the risk of higher discrimination of people living with HIV. It would increase thein rejections by the health worker.
Probably this step would be followed by routinne and expensive HIV testing of patiens without their consent.
