Endothelial Cells and Endothelial Precursor Cells Kinetics in Haematological Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy or Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation
Abstract
Patients treated with chemotherapy or autologous transplantation have lower number of endothelial progenitor cells and higher number of mature endothelial cells than healthy donors. Number of flowcytometrically detected endothelial progenitor cells does not correlate with cultivation of CFU-Hill colonies.
Numbers of CFU-Hill colonies correlate with numbers of CD4+ lymphocytes in peripheral blood.
