Abstract

Posaconazole 600 mg/day is recommended in patients with AML and MDS undergoing induction/ reinduction chemotherapy and in patients after allo- stem cell transplantation with GVHD (Level A I). Voriconazole 400 mg/day in allo stem cell recipients including period of GVHD (Level A I).

Fluconazole 400 mg/day in patients after allo- stem cell recipients until development of GVHD (Level A I). Procedures aimed to decrease the incidence of invasive mould infections and to their early diagnosis must go along with fluconazole administration.

Aerosolized liposomal amphotericine B in combination with fluconazole is recommended during prolonged neutropenia (Level B II). There is not enough evidence to establish any recommendation regarding primary antifungal prophylaxis in other situations/ other patients with hematological malignity
