Abstract
An increasing incidence of invasive aspergillosis is observed in most immunocompromised patients, and especially in patients with acute laeukemia and following haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. In order to decrease mortality due to this infection, clinicians need to optimize their treatment choices.
The objective of these guidelines is to summarize the current evidence for the treatment of invasive aspergillosis. The recommendations have been developed by an expert panel following an evidence-based literature search with regard to current recommendations of the European Conference in Infections in Laeukemia and Infectious Diseases Society of America.
