Abstract
The 5th Annual Symposium with international participation "The functional organization of the cell nucleus" was organized on the 10th of October 2011 at the First faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague. The programme encompassed 10 lectures, out of which 5 were delivered by invited speakers from abroad.
More than 90 experts, that attend the symposium learnt about the progress in the knowledge in the organization of the cell nucleus and chromatin under physiological and pathological conditions. Besides it, two lectures were devoled to new nanotechnologies.
