The role of adipose tissue and its products in the development of insulin resistance and systemic inflammatory reaction
Abstract
Our study shows that adipose tissue of patients with kidney failure may represent a significant source of proinflammatory cytokines and activation of immunocompetent cells residing in adipose tissue may play an important and universal role in the systemic inflammatory response, which worsen the insulin resistance in patients with kidney failure.
