Abstract
Non-targeted and targeted polymer–drug derivatives based on HPMA have both cytostatic and immunostimulating activity. Their impressive anti-tumor effects most likely result from the combination of strong direct cytotoxicity and a systemic anticancer resistance regularly induced during the treatment.
