Abstract
We present the importance of implementation of cerebrospinal fluid neurotransmitter metabolities analysis in clinical routine. The levels of neurotransmitter metabolities were performed using high performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrochemical detection.
We analysed 82 cerebrospinal fluid samples and found in three of them decreased concentration of homovanillic acid. In one patient the diagnosis of tyrosine hydroxylase deficiency was confirmed.
