Notes for testing children in school facilities.

Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the final recommendations of the current issue of testing children and adolescents in schools in suspected use of addictive substances. The accentuates four main points of view in this important act and the legal, psychological, educational and medical.

Legal point of view suggests an analysis of international, national and sub-statutory legislative instruments relating to children, youth, educational facilities and substance abuse, and exposure to the protection of their rights. It further recommends appropriate procedure, which creates legal certainty for both the test and for testing.

Psychological part deals with the psyche tested during adolescence and the factors that can lead to risky behavior. It also informs about the impact and risks resulting from the intervention and control of natural rights based on legal instruments work with children during their adolescence and attitudes towards the suspected substance abuse.

Pedagogical perspective represents the school and school facility as one of the most important settings for health promotion and prevention activities towards children in this area. Likewise, refers to the obligation of the school to ensure a relatively safe environment for proper mental and physical development of children and the possibility of teaching staff in the use of addictive substances, including their possible detection.

Medical section deals with the possibility of testing in an adolescent clinic or the possibility of collecting blood and urine samples from those who are reasonably suspected of using addictive substances. The text does not provide clear and dogmatic procedures, but offers variable options and recommendations to help the school and the teachers in their work with children who are reasonably suspected of using addictive substances, in solving these problems.
