The publication introduces 14 specific programmes delivered in specific schools by specific organisations and people. Each chapter consists of the analysis of one of the prevention programme, is based on theoretical background, methodology of analysis of each programme formed in structured parts.
Publication also consists of subjekt and nominal index and literature. the programmes are categorized according to their focus and level. The description of each programme has a consistent predefined structure.
It includes the name of the preventive programme, its annotation, a description of its theoretical background, its objectives, a description of the target group, a description of the time frame, the content of the programme, the requirements for human resources, its contraindications and limitations, the method used for evaluation of the effectiveness of the programme, the requirements for equipment and aids, physical and spatial requirements, follow-up activities and suitable combinations, support, the tentative cost of the programme, and of the programme, and the provider’s full contact information. Three programmes come under the category of non-specific prevention.
They focus on the shaping of attitudes and motivation, communication, problem solving, the psychosocial atmosphere, and coping strategies. Specific prevention is represented by 11 programmes addressing truancy, bullying, cyberbullying, high-risk sports and risk-taking behaviour on roads, racism and xenophobia, the negative impact of religious sects, and the prevention of the use of addictive substances.
The target groups include pre-school children, primary and secondary schoolchildren, education professionals and parents.
