Modeling Recreation Demand in Urban Forests in Prague Using Random Utility Framework

Publication |
2008

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present a random utility model of woodland recreation applied to the conditions of the Czech Republic. The random utility model was used to value losses associated with closures of woodland areas and changes in their recreational attributes.

Our random utility model study is focused on the main urban forests and forest parks in Prague. We applied a simple multinomial logit variant of the random utility model.
