It is a review devoted to microscopic theory of phase transitions. Emphasis is on finite size effeCentrum pro teoretická studia that can be captured by rigourous methods of the mathematical statistical physics: asymptotics with growing volume of the discontinuity at phase transitions of the first order is discussed, as well as loci of zeros of partition functions and emergence of equilibrium droplet at phase coexistence
