Abstract
The authors evaluated the incidence of tick encephalitis as an occupational disease in the Sloval Republic and the Czech Republic in 1989-2008. The analysis of available statistical data from the Sloval Republic and the Czech Republic confirmed increasing trend in incidence of the disease in the population.
The trend in incidence of this professional diseases is decreasing in both countries. In their conclusion, the author pointed to the possibilities of primary prevention of tick encephalitis.
