EAU guidelines on vesicoureteral reflux in children

Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2012

Abstract

Vesicoureteral reflux is one of the most common urologic abnormalities in children. In most cases, invasive treatment is not indicated.

Because the consequences of reflux can be severe, establishing which patients need early intervention and which do not will prevent overtreatment. Available studies on the management of vesicoureteral reflux in children present widely diverging data.

An expert panel has set up a risk group stratification to assist physicians in making informed decisions.
