Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2012

Abstract

Subclinical inflammation typically occurs in patients with obesity and/or type 2 diabetes mellitus. It represents an important mechanism contributing not only to the ethiopathogenesis of insulin resistance and diabetes but also to its atherosclerotic complications and increased occurence of cancer in these patients.

Regular physical activity belongs to the crucial lifestyle measures recommended to patients with obesity and diabetes.
