Abstract
Business policy of Czech railways is zero tolerance of illicit drug use at work. Author describes new procedure for collection and detection of illicit drugs in saliva.
The most convenient testing is immunoassay and devices are available for on–site initial testing provided by purpose-trained safety technician. Confirmatory testing procedures using blood of tested persons are provided exclusively by specialized laboratories of toxicology or forensic medicine.
