Activity of c-Src as a novel target for the inhibition of mTOR signaling in human diseases

Abstract

We have found that the mTORC1 signaling pathway is highly activated in human melanoma cells, and that both upregulation of the pathway and oncogenicity of these cells could be reduced by suppression of the c-Src tyrosine kinase activity.
