From Confessional Cemeteries to Ashes at Home: Funeral Rites in the Czech Lands, 18th – 20th Centuries

Abstract

The paper analyzes ideology of and practicizing of funeral rituals in the Czech society in the "long 19th century". It pays attention to the various confessions, growth of secularization and international context.
