Abstract
Multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of patients with inflammatory bowel disease is crucial and patiens should be treated in specialized centres. New possibilities of conservative treatment and progress in surgical therapy mutually correlate, and thus the choice of a correct therapeutic procedure requires specific cooperation between the surgeon and the gastroenterologist.
