Abstract

Assisting and supporting the profession choose different ways of professional assistance in support of the benefit or welfare of another person. Interpersonal meeting of nurses in the profession are a number of aspects, issues, dilemmas.

The professional care is often apparent asymmetry between the medic, nurse and patient / client care recipients. The less one is able to take care of basic needs, the greater its dependence on the kind of man.

In relation to helping with the danger of paternalism - along with the threat aspect of human autonomy and dignity of the individual to pay special attention. The paper focuses on aspects of issues affecting the relationship between the helping professional - a nurse and client / user / recipient of care in the context of geriatric nursing in the area of health and social care.
