The composition of fatty acids in pancreatic cancer

Abstract

Pancreatic cancer is the fourth most common gastrointestinal malignancy in the Czech Republic. The mortality is nearly identical to its incidence.

The aim was to determine profile of fatty acids in plasma lipid classes in patients compared with the control group. The changes in fatty acid profile in patients with pancreatic cancer are probably of multifactorial origin.
