Abstract

Hybrid imaging technique positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) is a combination of functional and morphological-anatomical whole body imaging. Authors' intention is to give a comprehensive overview of the basic principles of PET, CT and hybrid imaging and the most important clinical indications.

The focus of Publications 'Clinical PET and PET / CT' in oncology issues, which constitute the majority of indications for hybrid testing. In addition to prospecting malignant tumors, staging and monitoring therapeutic effect of treatment is chosen focus epileptology, cardiology and searching inflammatory deposits.
