Abstract
This review paper summarises the existing knowledge on metabolic changes in the different types of tumours or other pathologies of the human brain reflected through magnetic resonance spectra and is concerned with the options currently available for using a combination of several MR diagnostic methods (MR imaging, spectroscopy, diffusimetry, relaxometry) to determine the extent of pathological process, the knowledge of which is important for planning of an appropriate therapy
