Harm reduction in Russia, Southwest and Central Asia

Abstract

The chapter reviews the development of the harm reduction oriented interventions and policies in Russia, Southwest and Central Asia, its main obstacles, achievements and failures, and identifies the challenges that the pragmatic drug policies are to face in the close future.
