New mode of administration of heliox using a semi-closed system in patients with COPD exacerbation - tests on healthy volunteers

Abstract

Authors present results of their study, that examined the modified anesthesiologic circuit with rebreathing using laboratory test and measuring respiratory work in healthy volunteers. This delivery system allows safe and considerably cheaper application of heliox to spontaneously breathing patient.
