Which sample matrix is suitable for glucometer external quality control?

Abstract

External quality assesment (EGA) of personal glucometers is e regular part of their use to glucose determination in ambulatory practice and hospitals. Whole blood is used for routine measurement; however for EQA purposes it is a material based on serum matrix.

The aim of this study is to check possibility of the use controls with whole blood matrix in EQA.
