Abstract

Spinal stabilization in paraplegia once performed is useful. Stabilization repared to improve spinal axis or because of exceeding screws appears not be useful.

Kyphosis in paraplegic who is wheelchair-dependent cannot be prevented, because to reach with his hands as far as possible, he acquires constant bending position of his trunk. In the course of time the instrumentation loses its significance a solid callus will in the near future develop.
