Abstract
Survey of results of the first research of Egyptian mummies from Czechoslovak museums and private collections in the 70thees of last century. Altogether 168 mummified objects were collected and described by macroscopy and radiography, of them 24 being whole human bodies.Their dating, mummification techniques, demographic data and palaeopathological finds were analyzed.
Mummified fauna was determined by a group of zoologists.
