Abstract
The story of the metabolic syndrome is exceptional and paradoxically also typical. The definition of the metabolic syndrome was accepted quickly and by an easy way considerating impossibility of the proof of insulin resistance.
The diagnostic of the metabolic syndrome is satisfying by simple definition and common biochemical mathods, but the nature of the syndrome is complicated and ambiguous.
