Impalpable testis, what first: diagnostic laparoscopy or inguinal exploration?

Abstract

The aim of study was to evaluate the benefit of diagnostic laparoscopy in the management of impalpable testis. Authors review the findings of diagnostic laparoscopy performed on 65 cases of impalpable testis.

Based on personal experience and review of literature they conclude that primary diagnostic laparoscopy is an initial method of choice.
