Abstract
As an introduction the symptom is described including its division and first usage by Hippocrates to patient with empyema. This is followed by the brief list of hypothesis describing probable origin of the clubbing of fingers, for exact pathophysiological mechanism of the origin was not diagnosed.
Then the percentage representation of this symptom at different pathological states is indicated (most frequently with pulmonary fibrosis). After that comes the passage with anamnestic data and differential diagnosis.
The therapy of this symptom consists in influencing of the basal disease.
