Abstract

Patient education in the area of diet and režimového measures for diabetes mellitus is extremely important and it is essential for the patient. Diabetic diet is an integral part of treatment.

The article describes the key areas of patient education: the principles of good nutrition, the recommended treatment of food technology, suitable and unsuitable food, with individual menus framework in recommendation of 175 g, 225 g and 275 g of carbohydrates per day.
