Neuromuscular junction morphology, fiber-type proportions, and satellite-cell proliferation rates are altered in MyoD(-/-) mice.

Abstract

MyoD(-/-) mice despite normal general appearance have very poor morphology and function of neuromuscular junctions. They also have increased proportion of slow muscle fibre type and finally the differentiation of their satellite cells is initially delayed.
