Abstract
Nursing is concerned with a complex and variable reality. It is a multidisciplinary field that draws from many other disciplines but it is also an interdisciplinary field making use of links between these disciplines.
Educational programs for nurses must be conceived as multidisciplinary ones. University education should demonstrate and promote the meaning of links between disciplines.
