The avareness and participation in preventive programs for colon and breast cancer – study from Nothern Bohemia

Abstract
The awareness of the population about the screening program of CRC is relatively good but the participation (30%) of the target population is insufficient. The awareness and the participation in the BC screening program are high approaching almost 100%.
People are informed about CRC mostly from the media, while the information about BC comes mostly from gynecologists. Th us, gynecologists could play a positive role in the national screening program of CRC.
