Stimulation of the motor cortex - a new perspective - a case report

Abstract

Chronic motor cortex stimulation is the one of the methods of a chronic pain treament. This method passed long development, starting success was changed misfires with many unwanted effects.

The first case report with new treatment and selective method is interpreted now. 35-years old patient with intractable atypic facial pain. The trauma of temporomandibular join is at the bottom of her pain.

Patinet was chose for a neuromodulation by results of rTMS (repetitive magnetic stimulation). Two electrod technique was used for this patient.

The selection of patients was subjective and not to mistake-free that is why the new selection criteria was determined. The introduction of the examination period by rTMS was major benefit.

An actual and effective intervention is the results of this examination. The tighter specification eliminate mistakes of choosing of patients and make possible to offer expansive treatment for patients with perfect result.
