Abstract
The present complicated political, ethnic and religious situation in some unstable parts in the world is potentially becoming a breeding ground for the preparation of possible terroristic attacks aimed especially at some western countries. It has been shown that besides explosive and chemical or bacteriological toxic substances, in reality one has to consider also the use of radioactive materials characterized by high activity and appropriate physical or chemical properties.
