Environmental Tax Reform Options and Designs for the Czech Republic: Policy and Economic Analysis

Abstrakt

The paper analyses the options and the design of the environmental tax reform for the Czech Republic. The paper describes the Czech tax system and uses a stylized simulation model to address the macroeconomic impact of the reform.

Then, the paper reviews selected quantitative analyses to asseess the impact of the model on households, industry and the public budget. The paper concludes with the outlook of the reform.
