Employment of galectins and preparation of myofibroblasts and nanofibers of extracellular matrix

Abstract

Employment of galectins for preparation of myofibroblasts from human dermal fibroblasts is described. These cells are able to produce nanofibers of extracellulart matrix.

This discovery can be used in biotechnology, tissue enginnering and wound therapy.
