Abstract

Stable isotopes of C,N in the skeletons coming from the Bell Beaker cemetery near village Hoštice were analysed with the purpose of reconstructing the diet from organic component of the bone collagen. The population from Hoštice depends terrestrial plants of the type of photosynthesis C3 (wheat).

Females and children had a diet comprising a higher ratio of proteins then males. We are the opinion that in Eneolithic Age the admission of proteins in childrens gets up.

Propably through using animal blood as new source of proteins.
