Abstract
Renal cell cancer is the third most frequent urooncological disease, the highest incidence is in the Czech Republic all over the world. In 2009 there was a fundamental change in the TNM classification of renal tumors, evidence of these changes are part of the article.
Surgical treatment is the first method of choice both in localized and metastatic renal cell cancer due to its chemo and radioresistance.Immunochemotherapy, method of choice in the 90-ies of the 20th Century is currently almost replaced by a targeted biologic therapy in a generalized renal cell cancer using direct blockade of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) or signaling pathway of a related receptor rapamycin (mTOR).
