SNS - a new method of the treatment of fecal incontinence

Abstract

Sacral nerve stimulation (SNS) could become an optimal solution for the treatment of fecal incontinence in patients with a morphologically intact but functionally sufficient anal sphincter in whom all therapeutic options have failed. Those patients remain incontinent and the only solution for them is a stomy.
