Abstract
Lasers have completely changed the number of procedures, especially when treating small tumors, mucous membranes and gumms in the mouth. Lasers are indispensable in the treatment of vascular malformations.
Very popular is their use in the treatment of dental caries and calculus in particular for reduced invasiveness and decreased pain. So far, however, laser is not the method of choice for dental caries.
Thanks to miniaturization and decreased costs lasers applications are booming in recent years.
