Abstract

The term robot-assisted surgery refers to surgery performed using a computer-controlled robot system. This technique does not require direct contact between the surgeon and the patient.

The robot system appreciably improves the precision of the surgical procedure, eliminates shaking of hands, its 3D feature provides for flawless image and, like all minimally invasive techniques, it reduces the extent of operative injury.
