The monography summarizes the historical overviewes as well as recent discoveries in the pathophysiology of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, its pathogenetic role in cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and renal pathology and also on therapeutic application of the RAAS blockade in these diseases
