Twenty Years Since the Foundation of Daily Rehabilitation Stationary Ward at Department of Phoniatrics First Faculty of Medicine Charles University in Prague and General University Hospital in Prague

Abstract

Department of Phoniatrics in Prague is a place with a long tradition. In 2012, we commemorated the 90th anniversary of founding of phoniatrics in the Czechoslovakia.

Department provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals with speech, hearing and voice. Over the years and gaining clinical experience, the need arose to provide intensive care for children.

Daily Rehabilitation Stationary Ward for children with disorders of communication skills was opened at Department of Phoniatrics 13th January 1992. This year ward commemorates 20 years of its existence.
